Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is actually the capital of the UAE; however it is smaller and less crazier than its neighbour Dubai.
We stayed in the beautiful Park Hyatt hotel on Saadiyat Island. This is one of the most luxurious hotels on one of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi. The quality and service where out of this world. I have stayed in some amazing hotels all over the world, but the Park Hyatt was exceptional, and I’d love to return some day to spend some more time here.
Abu Dhabi is mainly visited as a stopover en route to Asia or Australia, but it could be done as a standalone destination. There is so much to see and do. It is just a seven-hour flight, so a great alternative to the Caribbean or Africa for some winter sun.
Families love Abu Dhabi as there is so much for them to explore and experience, such as Yas Island, where Ferrari World, Yas Waterpark and Warner Bros studios are based. You also have a world class F1 racetrack. A Visit to Abu Dhabi cannot miss out on visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It is free to enter and is one of the worlds most visited Mosque’s. If you are looking for a cultural experience, then the Louvre is a must visit. Works by a number of great Masters are on the display here. They building alone is very impressive.
If you are looking for the best views in the city then visit the observation deck at 300, a sky-high restaurant on the 74th Floor of the Luxurious Jumeirah at Etihad Towers hotel. When choosing where to base yourself in Abu Dhabi the choice is endless. You have the Corniche; this is about an 8km promenade in the heart of the city. Yas Beach, fantastic facilities for families including windsurfing, paddle boarding etc. Saadiyat beach is 9km of Pristine white sandy beaches. Mostly private beaches and super stylish.
Whether you want to relax and chill out on the beach or fill your days with experiences, there is something for everyone in Abu Dhabi.
