Explore the best of the majestic fjords, vibrant cities, and serene villages in this Norway itinerary. You will begin your trip in the capital city of Oslo before travelling to Aurland on the Flåmsbana to experience the stunning scenery of Nærøyfjord and the Viking village of Gudvangen. Arrive to Skodje in style by helicopter and travel to the village of Sjøholt. While in Kalvåg, visit the coastal town of Knutholmen before completing your trip in the city of Bergen.
Day 1: Oslo
On arrival into Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport, your driver will greet you and bring you to Amerikalinjen Hotel. Start your Norway adventure with a bite to eat in the Festningen Restaurant while taking in the panoramic views of the Oslo Fjord.
Day 2-3: Aurland
In the afternoon, after you check out of your hotel, you will hop on the Flåmsbana which is one of the world’s steepest train rides. You will then be picked up and dropped off at your accommodation - Aurland 29:2 Lodge.
Day 4-5: Skodje
When you check out of Aurland 29:2 Lodge, you will be brought to your next hotel, Storfjord Hotel by helicopter. On this once in a lifetime trip, you will be transported through the breathtaking Norwegian Alps. You will get to see icy glaciers, lush green forests, majestic fjords, mountains from above.
Enjoy a full-day tour through the heart of troll-land and drive along the fjords and villages of Sjøholt, which is the strawberry town of Valldal and Gudbrandsdalsjuvet. As you travel down Trollstigen, you will be told the mythical stories for the Norwegian trolls and you will visit Trollveggen, the highest vertical mountain in Europe.
Day 6-7: Kalvåg
Enjoy a morning kayak in Starfjord, before you leave for Kalvåg. Not only will you get to take in the views, but you may also get up close to Norway’s nature and wildlife.
After your kayaking adventure, collect your rental car and hit the road to Knutholmen in the region of Kalvåg. The town of Knutholmen is known for its lively atmosphere and its coastal surroundings which makes for a brilliant opportunity to try the local seafood.
In the morning, meet your guide on the quay at Knutholmen who will take you on a private boat and fishing experience. If fishing is something that you enjoy, this is an ideal opportunity to catch fish like haddock, cod, or catfish.
Day 8-10: Bergen
For the final part of your journey, you will travel to Bergen and return your rental car and check-in to Opus XVI.
Indulge in dinner and drinks at the former stock exchange and historical building of Frescohallen. Enjoy a meal while the DJ plays music to make the atmosphere more relaxing.
Take the time to explore the city of Bergen by visiting the sites such as the Maritime Museum, Bryggen or Bergenhu Fortress or treat yourself to something in one of the local shops.
At the end of your trip, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and bring to Bergen Airport Flesland in time for your flight.
