There’s a special kind of excitement that comes with finally being able to travel the way you’ve always dreamed of. After years of busy schedules, commitments, and endless to-do lists, you reach a point where you can truly give yourself the gift of time — time to explore, to unwind, and to experience the world on your own terms. But when that moment arrives, many people find themselves asking the same question: where do I even begin? That’s where the beauty of a tailor-made holiday comes in. A personalised journey isn’t just about picking a destination and booking a flight — it’s about creating a travel experience that fits you perfectly, where every detail is designed around your preferences, your pace, and your passions. It’s about ensuring that, from the moment you leave home to the moment you return, everything flows seamlessly, allowing you to truly relax and immerse yourself in the adventure ahead. When I work with clients, I start by getting to know you — your interests, your style of travel, what comforts matter most to you, and the little touches that turn a great holiday into an unforgettable one. Do you prefer slow, scenic journeys with plenty of time to explore? Or are you looking for a series of once-in-a-lifetime experiences packed into every day? Would you rather stay in a boutique hotel where the staff know your name, or a luxurious resort where every whim is taken care of? Every decision, from the airlines I choose to the hotels and the local guides, is made with your preferences front and centre. Consistency, comfort, and reliability are key. You won’t find yourself rushing for connections or dealing with last-minute surprises. Instead, you’ll enjoy the peace of mind that everything has been carefully considered and put in place to suit you. Tailor-made travel is also about the flexibility to make a trip your own. Maybe you’d like a private cooking class with a local chef in Tuscany, a sunset cruise around the Galápagos Islands, or simply a few quiet days in a beachfront villa with nothing planned at all. Whatever your version of the perfect holiday looks like, I’m here to bring it to life — with the kind of personal attention and care that makes the difference between a good trip and an extraordinary one. When you finally have the time to travel, it deserves to be done your way — with thoughtfulness, precision, and a deep understanding that this journey is about more than just seeing new places. It’s about celebrating a new chapter in your life, filled with possibilities. If you're ready to start planning your next adventure, I’d be delighted to help craft a journey that’s as individual as you are — a tailor-made experience that feels effortless, inspiring, and exactly right.

For many travellers, Antarctica sits at the very top of the bucket list—a remote and untouched wilderness that promises an experience unlike any other. I recently had the privilege of embarking on a cruise with G Adventures to the "White Continent," and it was everything I had imagined and more. From the surreal landscapes of blue and white icebergs to the unforgettable wildlife encounters, Antarctica is truly a safari on ice. Here’s why this journey should be on everyone’s bucket list. A Journey to the End of the Earth Our adventure began with a sense of anticipation as we set sail from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. The journey to Antarctica is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself, with the crossing of the infamous Drake Passage—a rite of passage for any Antarctic explorer. As we ventured further south, the air grew crisper, and the first glimpses of floating icebergs signalled our arrival into a world like no other. The Stunning Beauty of Icebergs Antarctica is a land of stark contrasts, where towering blue and white icebergs rise majestically from the sea. Each one is a unique sculpture, shaped by the elements over centuries. The play of light on the ice creates a kaleidoscope of colours, from deep cobalt blues to shimmering whites, making every moment a photographer’s dream. As we cruised through this icy wonderland, I was constantly in awe of the sheer beauty that surrounded us. Whales, Seals, and Penguins: A Wildlife Spectacle One of the most extraordinary aspects of an Antarctic expedition is the wildlife. We encountered more whales than I could count—gentle giants like humpbacks feeding just meters from our ship, their massive tails slicing through the water. But it wasn’t just the whales that captivated us; leopard seals, sleek and formidable, hunted in the icy waters, while penguins provided endless entertainment. Sitting on the ice, I had the surreal experience of being surrounded by comical penguins, who seemed just as curious about me as I was about them. They pecked at the buttons on my coat, waddled around, and chattered away as if welcoming us to their frozen paradise. It was a special moment and connection with nature that I will never forget. An Ice for the Ages: Toasting with Ancient Glacial Ice One of the most memorable moments of the trip was fishing out a block of ice from the sea that had broken off one of the oldest glaciers in the world. Back on board, we used this ancient ice in our drinks—a surreal experience knowing that the last time those bubbles of air were in the atmosphere was in the B.C. era. It was a humbling reminder of the timelessness of this incredible landscape and the fleeting nature of our own existence. Why Antarctica Should Be on Your Bucket List Antarctica is more than just a destination; it’s a journey into the heart of our planet’s most pristine and powerful wilderness. It’s a place where you can witness nature at its most raw and beautiful, where every moment feels like a gift from a world untouched by time. From the breath-taking scenery to the unforgettable wildlife encounters, this is a trip that changes you—leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime. If there’s one adventure you add to your bucket list, let it be Antarctica. Get in touch with me and let's make it a reality for you too!

If there’s one place that perfectly embodies the essence of luxury and natural beauty, it’s the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. Known for its lush landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and iconic Piton mountains, Saint Lucia is a paradise that offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. On my recent trip, I had the incredible privilege of staying at two of the island’s most prestigious resorts: Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, and the extraordinary Jade Mountain. Here’s a look at the most luxurious trip of my life. Sugar Beach: A Tropical Haven at the Foot of the Pitons Our journey began at Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort, nestled between the iconic Piton mountains on Saint Lucia’s southwest coast. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just a hotel—it was a tropical haven where luxury meets nature in the most seamless way. The Setting: Sugar Beach is located within a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it’s easy to see why this spot is so highly regarded. The resort is set on a pristine white-sand beach, with the majestic Pitons towering on either side. The contrast of the emerald green mountains against the sparkling blue Caribbean Sea creates a setting that is nothing short of breathtaking. The Accommodation: Our accommodation at Sugar Beach was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in one of the resort’s luxury villas, which offered stunning views of the Pitons and the sea. The villa was a perfect blend of traditional Caribbean architecture and modern luxury, with a private plunge pool, a spacious terrace, and a beautifully appointed interior. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the plush furnishings to the personalized butler service that ensured our every need was met. The Experience: Days at Sugar Beach were spent basking in the beauty of the surroundings. We lounged on the beach, snorkeled in the clear waters, and explored the nearby rainforest. The resort’s spa, located in the midst of the rainforest, offered a range of treatments that were as relaxing as they were rejuvenating. Dining at Sugar Beach was a culinary journey in itself, with a variety of restaurants offering everything from fresh seafood to gourmet international cuisine. The highlight was a private dinner on the beach, where we enjoyed a delicious meal under the stars, with the sound of the waves as our soundtrack. Jade Mountain: A Sanctuary in the Sky After our unforgettable stay at Sugar Beach, we moved to Jade Mountain, a resort that redefines the concept of luxury. Perched high on the mountainside, Jade Mountain offers unparalleled views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, creating a sanctuary that feels like it’s suspended between heaven and earth. The Setting: Jade Mountain is an architectural marvel, designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The resort’s open-concept design allows for uninterrupted views of the Pitons and the sea from every angle. The absence of the fourth wall in each suite means that the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living are blurred, creating a sense of being completely immersed in nature. The Accommodation: We stayed in one of Jade Mountain’s iconic “sanctuaries,” which is the perfect name for these extraordinary spaces. Our sanctuary featured a private infinity pool that seemed to spill over into the horizon, offering breathtaking views of the Pitons and the sea. The room itself was a masterpiece of design, with natural stone walls, rich tropical wood, and custom-made furnishings. The bed was positioned to take full advantage of the views, so we could wake up to the sight of the Pitons bathed in the soft light of dawn. The Experience: Staying at Jade Mountain was a truly immersive experience. Each day began with a leisurely breakfast served in our sanctuary, followed by time spent exploring the resort’s private beaches, snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs, or simply relaxing by our infinity pool. The resort’s dedicated team ensured that every aspect of our stay was personalized and flawless. One of the most memorable experiences was a private sunset cruise, where we sipped champagne as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange. Dining at Jade Mountain was an experience in itself. The resort’s restaurant, helmed by a world-class chef, offered a menu that celebrated the flavors of Saint Lucia, using the freshest local ingredients. Each meal was a work of art, both in presentation and taste, and the setting—whether on the terrace or in our sanctuary—made every meal feel like a special occasion. Why Saint Lucia is the Ultimate Luxury Destination My trip to Saint Lucia was, without a doubt, the most luxurious travel experience of my life. From the serene beauty of Sugar Beach to the jaw-dropping splendor of Jade Mountain, this island offers a level of luxury that is truly unparalleled. But what makes Saint Lucia truly special is its ability to combine this luxury with a deep connection to nature. Whether you’re relaxing on a white-sand beach, exploring a rainforest, or gazing out at the Pitons from your private infinity pool, Saint Lucia allows you to experience the best of both worlds. If you’re looking for a destination that offers the perfect blend of luxury, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences, Saint Lucia should be at the top of your list. It’s a place where every moment feels like a dream, and where memories are made that will last a lifetime. What are you waiting for, give me a shout and lets make this a reality for you too!

Traveling to Singapore, Bali, and Dubai in July might sound like hopping from one sizzling hotspot to another, but what an incredible journey it turned out to be! Despite the heat, each destination offered unique experiences that made this trip unforgettable. Flying High with Emirates Our adventure began with a flight to Singapore via Dubai on Emirates. It had been a while since I last flew with them, and this trip was a great reminder of why Emirates is such a highly regarded airline. I splurged a bit on emergency exit row seats, which was a blessing for a tall guy like me. Even when I couldn’t get those seats on the second leg, I found the legroom more than adequate. The food was top-notch, and the service was, as always, impeccable, making the long flight much more comfortable. Singapore: A City of Gardens and Fireworks Landing in Singapore, we had the luxury of staying with family, which meant we had the convenience of an apartment in a prime location. Getting around the city was a breeze with the Grab app, which I highly recommend downloading and setting up before you arrive. It’s also worth sorting out your mobile roaming ahead of time, as most carriers offer great deals on unlimited data in Singapore and Dubai. July is a fantastic time to visit Singapore, especially with the practice fireworks displays leading up to National Day. Watching the fireworks from the CBD, with Marina Bay Sands beautifully illuminated to the right, was a highlight. We visited Gardens by the Bay twice—once during the day to enjoy the stunning views and again in the evening for the mesmerizing light show. The Cloud Forest indoor garden was breathtaking, and we also took the time to explore the Botanic Gardens. For a unique experience, we biked along the F1 track under the Singapore Flyer, which was a thrilling way to see the city. Bali: Beaches, Temples, and Traffic Adventures In Bali, we were again fortunate to stay with family, this time in a spacious villa in Seminyak that comfortably accommodated all 12 of us. Our days were spent between the villa, the beach, and a day trip to Ubud, where we explored the stunning landscapes and visited the famous Monkey Forest—a hit with the kids. Bali’s traffic, though, is something else! Navigating the sea of mopeds that seem to follow their own set of rules was an adventure in itself, but it’s all part of the Bali experience. Dubai: A Short but Sweet Stopover We broke up our journey home with a night in Dubai, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. Knowing that Emirates would check our luggage through to Dublin was a big help, allowing us to travel light with just a small backpack each. This made our quick transition from the airport to our hotel, the Dusit Thani, much smoother. Clearing immigration was a breeze, and the Dusit Thani was an ideal choice for our short stay. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, perfect for our group of two adults and three teens, and offered great value for money. After a refreshing dip in the rooftop pool, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The evening was capped off with a visit to the fountain display in front of the Burj Khalifa—a spectacular sight that’s not to be missed. I had always assumed Dubai would be unbearably hot in the summer, but this trip changed my perspective. Yes, it was hot—42 degrees while we were there—but the city is well-equipped to handle the heat. With air-conditioned hotels and plenty of indoor activities, it’s possible to enjoy Dubai even in the height of summer. Plus, the off-season deals make it even more attractive.

Japan had always been a destination at the top of my travel wishlist, and when I finally decided to make the trip, I knew I wanted to do it right. So, I booked the Japan Express tour with G Adventures, an incredible journey from Osaka to Tokyo that promised to show me the best of Japan in a short but packed itinerary. Adding to the excitement, I managed to snag a fantastic business class deal with Emirates, which made the long journey to Japan feel more like a pleasure cruise than a flight. The Emirates Experience: A Luxurious Start The trip began in style with Emirates' business class, which, thanks to a rare sale, became an affordable indulgence. From the moment I stepped onto the plane, I was treated to impeccable service, gourmet meals, and a level of comfort that almost made me forget I was on an airplane. The lie-flat seat was a dream, allowing me to arrive in Japan well-rested and ready to explore. The onboard amenities, including a wide selection of entertainment and even an onboard bar, ensured that the journey was enjoyable from start to finish. This luxurious start set the tone for the rest of my trip. Day 1: Osaka – The Gateway to Japan My adventure officially began in Osaka, a vibrant city known for its modern architecture, nightlife, and hearty street food. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the contrast between the bustling urban environment and the traditional elements that peeked through, like the historic Osaka Castle. The tour group met at our centrally located hotel, and after a brief orientation, we were off to explore the city. We visited the famous Dotonbori district, where the neon lights and massive billboards, including the iconic Glico Running Man, were as impressive as I had imagined. Dinner was a culinary adventure with a taste of Osaka’s famous street food, including takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (savory pancakes). The energy of the city was contagious, making for an unforgettable first night. Day 2: Kyoto – A Journey Back in Time Next, we traveled to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan. Kyoto's serene temples, traditional tea houses, and historic streets provided a beautiful contrast to the modernity of Osaka. We spent the day exploring some of Japan’s most famous temples, including the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji) and the Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of iconic torii gates. A highlight was a peaceful afternoon in the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where towering bamboo stalks swayed gently in the breeze, creating a surreal and tranquil environment. In the evening, I wandered through the Gion district, hoping for a glimpse of a geisha and soaking in the historic atmosphere. Kyoto felt like a journey back in time, offering a glimpse into Japan's rich cultural heritage. Day 3: Hiroshima – A City of Peace and Reflection On the third day, we made our way to Hiroshima, a city that stands as a poignant reminder of the past and a symbol of peace. Visiting Hiroshima was an incredibly moving experience that added a profound dimension to the trip. We started the day at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where the iconic A-Bomb Dome stands as a stark reminder of the devastation caused by the atomic bomb in 1945. The park was beautifully serene, a place designed for reflection and remembrance. The Peace Memorial Museum was equally powerful, providing an in-depth look at the impact of the bomb on the city and its people. One of the most touching moments was visiting the Children's Peace Monument, where thousands of colorful paper cranes, sent from around the world, are displayed in a show of solidarity and hope for peace. In the afternoon, we took a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island, famous for its floating torii gate, which appears to float on the water during high tide. The island was a peaceful retreat, offering a stark contrast to the heavy emotions of the morning. As the sun set behind the torii gate, it was a moment of tranquility and beauty that will stay with me forever. Day 4: Hakone – Gateway to Mt. Fuji From Hiroshima, we traveled to Hakone, a town famous for its hot springs and stunning views of Mount Fuji. The weather was on our side, and we were blessed with clear views of the majestic mountain, an iconic symbol of Japan. We cruised on Lake Ashi and took the ropeway up to the Owakudani volcanic valley, where we sampled the local specialty – eggs boiled in the sulfuric hot springs, said to add years to your life. Hakone was also a chance to relax in one of Japan’s famous onsen (hot springs). After days of exploring, soaking in the mineral-rich waters with a view of the surrounding mountains was pure bliss. Day 5-6: Tokyo – The City That Never Sleeps The final leg of the tour took us to Tokyo, a city that truly needs no introduction. Tokyo is a whirlwind of activity, with each district offering something unique. We started in the Shibuya district, home to the famous Shibuya Crossing, where the sheer number of people crossing the street simultaneously was a sight to behold. The tour included visits to the serene Meiji Shrine, a stark contrast to the surrounding urban jungle, and the Asakusa district, where the ancient Senso-ji Temple stands as a testament to Tokyo’s historical roots. We also had time to explore the eclectic shops and quirky cafes in Harajuku, and even squeeze in a quick visit to the futuristic Odaiba district. Tokyo’s nightlife was just as exciting as I’d hoped. We enjoyed an evening in the Roppongi district, known for its vibrant bars and clubs. I also took some time to explore the quieter, more traditional side streets, where I stumbled upon hidden gems like tiny ramen shops and sake bars. Reflecting on the Journey The group tour was the perfect way to experience Japan, offering a well-balanced mix of guided activities and free time to explore on my own. And, of course, starting the journey in the comfort of Emirates’ business class made the entire trip feel even more special. Japan is a country that seamlessly blends the old with the new, and this trip was a perfect example of that. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, Japan has something to offer everyone. And I can confidently say that this trip won’t be my last visit to this incredible country. This is just my itinerary, there are lots more choices, and I'm able to advise on all the different styles of travel. If you wish to find out more - get in touch!

When I first considered taking a cruise with my daughter, I was a bit sceptical. I had always pictured myself as more of an independent traveller, exploring destinations on my own terms rather than following a set itinerary. But when the opportunity came to experience a Royal Caribbean cruise starting from Fort Lauderdale, I decided to give it a try. Little did I know, this trip would turn out to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable vacations we’ve ever had. Setting Sail from Fort Lauderdale Our adventure began in Fort Lauderdale, where we boarded the Royal Caribbean ship, ready to explore the Caribbean together. From the moment we stepped on board, I knew we were in for a treat. The ship itself was like a floating resort, with every amenity you could imagine—from pools and spas to incredible dining options and entertainment that rivalled anything on land. My daughter and I were particularly impressed by the kids' and teens' clubs, which were well-organized and packed with activities. Jamaica: Waterfalls and Tubing Adventures Our first port of call was Jamaica, and it quickly became one of our favourite stops. We decided to join an excursion that included a visit to the famous Dunn’s River Falls followed by river tubing—an adventure that neither of us will ever forget. Dunn’s River Falls is one of Jamaica’s most iconic natural attractions, and climbing the terraced waterfalls hand-in-hand with my daughter was an exhilarating experience. The cool water rushing over the rocks, the lush greenery surrounding us, and the sheer joy of the climb made it an adventure we were both thrilled to share. After the excitement of the falls, we enjoyed a more relaxing but equally fun experience—river tubing. Floating down a gentle river, surrounded by the beautiful Jamaican landscape, was the perfect way to unwind after our climb. The local guides were friendly and knowledgeable, making sure we had a safe and enjoyable time on the water. Labadee: Thrills and Chills on the Zip Line Next up was Royal Caribbean’s private destination of Labadee, Haiti. I had heard great things about Labadee’s beaches and activities, but nothing could have prepared us for the thrill of the zip line experience. Labadee’s Dragon’s Breath Zip Line is one of the longest over-water zip lines in the world, and it offers breath-taking views of the beach and the Caribbean Sea. The anticipation built as we rode to the top of the mountain, and when it was our turn to zip down, we were both a mix of nerves and excitement. The ride was exhilarating—flying high above the water, with the wind in our faces and the stunning scenery below. My daughter’s laughter and shouts of joy were contagious, and we both agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip. Labadee also offered plenty of opportunities to relax and soak up the sun. We spent the rest of our day lounging on the beach, swimming in the clear blue waters, and enjoying the island’s amenities. Cozumel: A Taste of Mexico Our final stop was Cozumel, Mexico, a beautiful island known for its vibrant coral reefs and rich cultural heritage. We decided to take it easy in Cozumel, exploring the local markets and enjoying some authentic Mexican cuisine. The island’s laid-back atmosphere was the perfect way to wind down after our more adventurous excursions. We also took a short trip to one of Cozumel’s beautiful beaches, where we relaxed and reflected on the incredible experiences we’d had throughout the cruise. The turquoise waters and warm sand made it easy to see why Cozumel is such a popular destination. Life On Board: Fun and Relaxation for All Ages While the destinations were amazing, one of the biggest surprises for me was how much we both enjoyed life on board the ship. Royal Caribbean truly caters to families, and there was never a dull moment. My daughter loved the pools, the water slides, and the adventure activities like rock climbing and mini-golf. I appreciated the variety of dining options, the top-notch entertainment, and the chance to relax on the couple of occasions while she was happily engaged in the kids' club. Evenings were spent enjoying shows, catching a movie under the stars, or simply walking along the deck, watching the sunset over the ocean. The ship was like a small city, with something for everyone, and I found myself appreciating the convenience and luxury of having everything we needed at our fingertips. Why a Cruise Might Be the Perfect Family Vacation Before this trip, I never would have considered myself a “cruise person,” but my experience with Royal Caribbean changed that perspective completely. The combination of exciting destinations, top-notch facilities, and the opportunity to spend quality time with my daughter made it a vacation unlike any other. It was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and family bonding, and I’m so glad we took the plunge. If you’re considering a cruise but are unsure if it’s the right fit for you, I would encourage you to give it a try—especially if you’re traveling with family. The flexibility, variety, and all-inclusive nature of a cruise make it an excellent choice for travellers of all ages and interests. And who knows? You might just be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
